EUNIC – European National Institutes for Culture

Created in 2006, EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture - is a worldwide network aiming to strengthen cultural cooperation between national cultural institutes of EU Member States. It intends to promote cultural diversity between European societies as well as to support cultural dialogue with other countries. It contributes to develop a common policy for external European cultural relations.

Under the umbrella of EUNIC, national based “clusters” create effective partnerships, facilitate the organization of European major events, and allow the sharing of good practices and expertise among its members.

EUNIC Turkey will gather numerous European cultural Institutes and Embassies (Austria Cultural Forum, British Council, Dutch Center for Cultural Activities, Goethe-Institut, Hellenic Foundation for Culture, Institut Français, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Instituto Cervantes, Instituto Camoes, Institutul Cultural Român in Istanbul, Embassies and/or Consulate General of Sweden, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic), mainly based in Ankara and Istanbul, but able to organize cultural events and activities all around Turkey. The EU Delegation will have the status of observer.
